Given the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have taken great care to expand my practice in ways that prioritize the health and safety of all. In particular, the following measures are in place:

  • Signs are posted to remind clients to only enter if well, and to reschedule if they have had any concerning symptoms or have been exposed to affected persons
  • Signs are posted with reminders on hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, and cough etiquette
  • Face masks are required and are available for those who do not arrive with them
  • In the office, furniture has been configured to maximize the physical distance between patients and providers
  • Strict office flow procedures and careful scheduling are in place to limit the number of patients/families in the office at a given time (i.e., all clients are asked to wait to enter the office until 5 minutes before their appointment, appointments staggered with time in-between patients)
  • Adequate hygiene and cleaning supplies are available throughout the office
  • CDC and EPA guidelines for cleaning and disinfection of all general office areas, therapy rooms, equipment, etc. are followed
  • All patients must sign an acknowledgment of risks of coming to the office (i.e., COVID-19 consent)
  • Copays and out-of-pocket payments made via online portal (all major credit cards are accepted)
  • Telehealth is utilized whenever clinically appropriate to limit in-person interactions
  • Electronic test administration is used as much as possible during evaluations, with 6-ft distance between evaluator and student
