In our work with families, we often find ourselves putting in lots of time and effort to provide useful books, websites, games, and products for supporting children and adolescents at home. We also work hard to connect families with helpful resources in the community, such as OT and SLP providers, developmental pediatricians, social skills groups, adaptive or supported extracurricular programs, art classes, music groups, and more! Over the years, we’ve probably sent hundreds of emails to parents looking for guidance. Now, we’re looking to make that information more accessible to our community at large. While we will still happily provide individualized support to our patients who request it, we will also be sharing our favorite resources here, with tags that make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for.
Please know that we are extremely open to feedback. Are you looking for something you cannot find? Have we inadvertently overlooked an important patient population? Do we need to expand our resources geographically? Did you have a bad experience with a group we’ve recommended? Tell us! We want to know all of these things, as it will allow us to provide more useful feedback to the families we serve. If you know of a great resource that is NOT listed here, please feel free to let us know! You can email Dr. Kuehnel directly by clicking HERE.
We also intend to share our thoughts on relevant happenings in mental health, special education, and general education. We believe it is important for you to get to know us better, so that you can understand our perspectives as clinicians! This will be a work in progress, but we’re really looking forward to sharing more of our favorite things with you, and our thoughts on current issues in social work, psychology, and neuropsychology. Thanks for tagging along!
